What We Do

The Children's Cancer Fund of New Mexico exists to help children and their families cope with the day-to-day emotional, financial, and educational needs of living with and fighting cancer.

We work to meet the immediate and basic needs of the children and their families, to help the children succeed in their fight against cancer.

Through our Helping Hand Program, our goals are:

To ensure all families basic needs are being met by providing assistance with rent, utilities, food, transportation, clothing, and special needs based on each individual child.

To provide playroom supplies, snacks, and toys to the Pediatric Oncology Clinic for our children and their families.

To grant any special requests that the families make in their time of need.

Our Helping Hand Program touches many of our families and children in ways such as:
-Snacks and drinks at the hospital clinic
-Travel expenses
-Car repair and maintenance
-Lodging assistance
-Toys from the Prize Box
-Bravery Buck Awards (a check in the child's name)
-Gift cards
-Restaurant gift certificates
-Grocery vouchers
-Gasoline vouchers
-Cab fare vouchers
-Wigs
-Travel expenses
-Zoo and Aquarium passes
-Special request made by families
-Special equipment
-Funeral expenses
